Japan Cause World Cup Offset By Defeating Germany 2-1


   Japanese duo Hiroki Sakai and Takefusa Kubo have praised Saudi Arabia for giving their nation the inspiration it needs to come from one goal down and create another world cup offset on Wednesday, November 23.

 In another offset of the tournament, the samurai Blue came from 1-0 to beat Germany 2-1.

 This is just coming barely 24 hours after the kingdom of Saudi Arabia come from one down to defeat Argentina on Tuesday. Via beIN Sports, Sakai praised their Asian counterparts for helping them to believe in themselves.

The 32-year-old said: 'Yesterday Saudi Arabia showed us a very valuable game against Argentina. We all thought, if we can just keep the deficit to one, you never know what could happen next.'

Midfielder Kubo added: 'We were down 1-0 at half-time just like Saudi Arabia, and just like them we were able to achieve a great comeback victory.'
