How Dog Ate Up The Private Part Of Its Owner
Residents of No 12 Jebbs street in the Calabar-south local
goverments area are still wondering how a small dog bites off the private part
of its owner resulting in his death.
The owner of the dog
identified as Ani
Offiong who hails from Ikoneto in Odukpani Local Goment Area of cross rivers
states Nigeria. The deceased came back home drunk and forgot to lock his door.
Having drunk to stupor, he urinated and even
pooed on his body while lying down in his parlor.
This is where the ugly incident transpired.
One of his dogs entered the parlor after perceiving the odor of the poo and
then started eating the poo. It was at this point that the dog bites off Ani
Offiong's private part thinking it was part of the poo.
The first son of the man Offiong Ani revealed to BBC pidgin that he was not around when the incident occurred but when he came back, his cousin Etim told him what had happened. The cousin also said they killed the dog and threw it away.

Here is what Etim said
“The man has two dogs, one is named Tiger
which is the big one while the other smaller one has no name. It is the smaller
one that bit him because we saw blood in his mouth and nose. When my uncle screamed,
I thought it was hoodlums that attacked but when I saw blood in his private
part I had to run outside.”
Etim also added that some neighbors rushed to
the scene to save the man but before they could clean him and take him to the
hospital, it was already too late and he died on the way to the hospital.
“It was late in the night and looking at the
time of the year we are made it difficult to get a means to take him to the hospital.
Another challenge was that most hospitals were not opened at that time of the
night.” Etim revealed that Ani Offiong was buried the next day at Hawkins
cementary in Calabar South LGA.
A spokesperson
for the cross rivers police command Mrs. Irene Ugbo has said that the police were
not informed about the incident.
She
said
“I have not heard about the incident and I don`t
think our division in Calabar south is aware of this issue. If they were aware,
they would have reported it.
