Man admits to stabbing neighbor to death following a misunderstanding over a goat
An Adamawa man simply identified as Musa Usman has pleaded
guilty before a court to stabbing his neighbor to death. The deceased neighbor
is identified as Abubakar Yunsa.
It was a misunderstanding over a goat that led Musa
Usman to stab Yunusa in his ribs which eventually led to his death.
"The victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital Yola,
but was confirmed dead the following day by the medical doctor," the
prosecutor said.
It was one Idris Saidu that reported the incident
to the police. The police responded swiftly and arrested Musa Usman who hails
from Sangre community in Yola South Local Government Area Of The State.
Upon appearing before a magistrate court 1
yola Musa confessed that he perpetrated the crime.
An order was given by
the presiding judge, Abdullahi Digil to
remand the defendant until January 11, 2022, as applied for by the prosecutor,
Seargent Sawe Nicholas.
