President Tinubu Signs Students’ Loan Bill Into Law
Just days after he assumed
office as the president of Nigeria, Ahmed Tinubu signed into law the student
loan bill. This is in fulfillment of his promise during the campaign.
Dale Alake, the spokesperson to the Federal Government
announced this on Monday stating that the funds will be domiciled in the
Ministry of Education and will only be accessed by indigent students of
tertiary institutions.

Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the 9th House of Representatives
sponsored the loan bill. This bill will enable students to get interest-free
loans, indigent students. The bill passed second reading at the house two weeks
ago.
