Workers Celebrate 2023 May Day Across Nigeria
Workers from the 36 states of the country including the FCT joined their
colleagues around the world the mark May Day today.
Globally, May 1 is set aside to celebrate
workers. The theme of this year`s celebration is “Workers' Rights and
socio-economic justice”.
On Monday, May 1, 2023, Eagle Square Abuja bubbled
with celebration as Nigerian workers celebrated Worker's Day.

The workers were not alone to celebrate their
day. Men of Timber and Caliber like the secretary to the government of the
federation Boss, Mustapha, the minister of labor and employment, Chris Ngigie,
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, and Pauline Tallen
the Minster for women affairs were in attendance.
Other dignitaries in attendance were the Presidential
candidate of the Labor Party in the 2023 elections Peter Gregory Obi.
Both past and present leaders of the NLC and
TUC (Trade Union Congress) were present.
