Unizik Student Killed By Stray Bullet From Clash Between Nigerian Army And Unknown Gunmen.
Gun Duels between the Unknown Gunmen and the Nigerian Military have
become all too frequent in the southeast of Nigeria. Unfortunately, a final
year student of the Nnamdi Azikwe University Akwa became a victim as he was hit
by a stray bullet during a gun duel at a military checkpoint in Ubomiri in
Mbaitolo Local Government of Imo State.
The victim identified as Godson Anumenwe is a
500L Radiography student who was reported to have left Port Harcourt for his
hometown on Saturday Night when he met his untimely death.

Anode Stephen, the president of the
Radiography students association confirmed the sad news in a statement released
on Monday, January 2, 2023.
"Until the time of his death, he was in the 500-level
class waiting to sign out very soon. It's a very sad loss for all," the
statement read.
"We sympathize with the bereaved and urge all to
remember the family in prayers as we grieve and mourn this great loss. Rest
