Uk PM Boris Johnson Admits Having A Party At No10 During Covid-19 Lockdown.
The UK PM Boris
Johnson has apologized today January 12 2022 after he finally admitted to
attending a party during the lockdown, busting drinks bash at Downing street.
It was after 24 hours of chaos and questions
that the British prime minister finally confessed about the garden party, but
he also claimed that he was there for only 25 mins and that it was a “work
event”.
He
told MP`s: "I
certainly wish that things would have happened differently on the evening of
May the 20th and I apologize for all the misjudgments that have been made, for
which I take full responsibility."
He didn’t stop there, he went into the
sunshine to "thank groups of staff before going back into my office 25
minutes later to continue working. I believed implicitly that this was a work
event.”
He added: "With
hindsight, I should have sent everyone back inside and found some other way to
thank them.
"I should have recognized that even if it did fall within guidance, there would be millions of people who would simply not see it that way".

Just one hour before
that May 2020 party, a cabinet member had told the public at a press conference
to follow covid-rules which includes only meeting one other person outdoors.
When members of the
public found out that the PM attended a lockdown bash at 10 Downing Street. Which
happens to be the official residence and office of the British PM. Outrage
burst out from both sides so much that some even demanded Boris Johnson's resignation.
While addressing the
outrage, the British PM said "I want to apologize. I know that millions of
people across this country have made extraordinary sacrifices over the last 18
months.
"I know the anguish that they have been through, unable
to mourn their relatives, unable to live their lives as they want to do the
things they love."
