Tragedy In Ondo As Tricycle Operator Allegedly Beats His Colleague To Death
Tricycle operators in the Oke-Aro Community of Akure South Local Government Area of
Ondo State are mourning their colleague who was beaten to death by a fellow tricycle
operator after a misunderstanding broke out between the two operators.
Reports indicate that the unidentified
tricycle operator and his colleague were involved in a heated argument that
degenerated into a fight. This fight led to one of them slumping. Kind-hearted
individuals rushed him to a nearby clinic where he was resuscitated but he
later kicked the bucket on Sunday, November 13.

SP Funmi Odunlami, the spokesperson of the
Ondo state police command while confirming the incident to newsmen said that
the men of the command have received directions to investigate the incident.
“The man was rushed by people around the
vicinity of the fight, to a nearby clinic where he was attended to and admitted. The
victim collapsed as a result of the fight on Saturday and was confirmed dead
early Sunday morning at the hospital,'' he said
According to SP Funmi Odunlami, the case was
reported to the “B” division area headquarters in Akure and an investigation
has been launched into the incident.
