The Body of Sylvester Oromoni Has Been Released To The Family For Burial After Police Conducted Autopsy
An autopsy has been conducted on the body of the 11-year-old
Dowen college student Sylvester Oromoni.
It will be noted that 11-year-old Sylvester
Oromoni was allegedly attacked by his seniors in school which resulted in his
death. His death has caused National outrage and grief. The school premises have
since been sealed by the Lagos state government while President Muhammadu
Buhari has vowed that those involved in the incident would not be spared.
As of the time of
writing this, five students and three housemasters are currently in police
custody.
A statement released by the police
spokesperson Adekunle Ajisebutu on Friday, December 17, 2021, said that an
autopsy has been conducted on Sylvester remains and that the result is being
awaited. He also said that the body has been returned to the family for burial.
''Sylvester
Oromoni: autopsy was done. The result is being awaited. The corpse was released
to the family for burial. Investigation ongoing.'' Ajisebutu said
