Suspected Ritualist Boyfriend Butchers Married Woman In Ondo

Osundare, a married woman is currently receiving treatment at the Federal
Medical Center in Ondo after she was butchered by her boyfriend who is a
suspected ritualist and is now on the run.
According to reports from Vanguard, Funmilola
was invited to the house her boyfriend rented in the Ijapo GRA area of AKURE
around 72 hours before the attack. She was having fun and enjoying her time
there before he allegedly attacked her, leaving her with varying degrees of
match cuts on her hands, shoulders, and face.

It was her cries for
help that attracted the neighbors who in turn invited operatives of the state
security outfit named Ametokun. Since the act has become known by the public, the
suspect fled while the neighbors rushed the victim to the nearest police clinic
for treatment. She was however rejected and then referred to the University of
Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Akure.

Joel-Ogundadegbe, the executive secretary of the state agency against Sexual
and Gender-based Violence while confirming the incident explained that she got
information about the incident from the police and she was quickly notified by
the first lady Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu who immediately ordered that the women
be taken to a hospital and thereafter settled the emergency bills.
''The victim was on oxygen in the Trauma center Ondo and
back to life, but yet to regain consciousness and strength to
talk.''Joel-Ogundadegbe said
Ogundadegbe noted
that no one has been able to identify the boyfriend of the victim. His neighbors
however have said that he is a footballer. Ogundadegbe said that Fumilola needs
the services of a neurosurgeon due to the deep cut on her head and hence was
referred to the Federal Medical Center.
