Super Eagles of Nigeria to play Les Verts of Algeria on September 27
The Les Verts of Algeria will take on the
Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly match the Algerian Football Association
has announced. This friendly match is scheduled for September 27th
at the Oran New stadium Algeria.
Both Algeria nor
Nigeria could not qualify for the 2022 World cup in Qatar. Nigeria lost to
Ghana while Algeria lost to Cameroon.
Two-time African Champions Algerian were earlier
booked to play the Black Stars of Ghana for the qualifiers on the 27th
of September but the black stars pulled out.

Algeria
says it will tackle the syli stars of Guinea on September 24 before taking on
the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
This match is
set to be a good test for the super-eagles Manager Jose Peseiro as Djamel
Belmadi`s Algeria coach has won the last two encounters against the Super-Eagles
of Nigeria.
In the Semi-Final of the African cup of
nations in 2019, Algeria defeated Nigeria 2-1 courtesy of a 95th-minute
free kick that sent Algeria to the final. Algeria also won the friendly match
played in the Jacques Lemans Arena, Austria in October 2020.
