Son of Taraba monarch and 7 others abducted

Gunmen have abducted the Son of a Taraba Monarch alongside 7 others. They were abducted at illela village in Karim-Lamido LGA in Taraba State. 

   According to daily trust, the gunmen numbering over 15 invaded the village at about 4 pm on Friday, February 17. Reports indicate that these gunmen are part of the bandits that have been terrorizing the area for the past few months. 

  Dauda Suleiman a resident in the village told Daily Trust that a total of eight persons including the son of the district head were abducted and taken to an unknown location. He added that bandits now control the area as they move freely with guns day and night.

   Suleiman added that security agents are nowhere to be found as many people including women are kidnapped or robbed.  

He added; 

“The bandits are in control of the area and have forced many of the residents to relocate out of the area.” 

 Alhaji Uba, the district head of ZIP, confirmed that his son named Buhari is among the eight persons abducted. He added that the kidnappers are demanding 70 million naira Ransom from him.
