Soldier allegedly shoots revenue collector dead in Anambra
A soldier of the Nigerian Military stationed at the Onitsha
head bridge in Anambra state has allegedly shot and killed a 27-year-old
Revenue collector on Thursday, January 27.
According to eyewitness reports, the soldier
fired the shot into the air in other to scare the motorist from plying one way,
and unfortunately, it landed on the revenue collector. Reports have it that the soldiers were
pursuing and smashing the mirrors of commercial drivers who were plying the
one-way on the bridge when the incident occurred.

Reacting to the
incident, more soldiers were redeployed to the area after traders tried to
attack the erring soldier.
The Nigerian Army is
yet to react to this incident.
