Russian tennis player, Andrey Rublev describes his country's invasion of Ukraine as 'terrible'
Andrey Rublev a Russian table tennis star has described the Russian invasion of Ukraine as “Terrible” before saying that “peace” is the most important thing. He said this just days after he won the ATP doubles title with a Ukrainian partner.
Andrey is the Russian No 7 and he won the ATP title in Marseille alongside Denys Molchanov of Ukraine.

While reacting to Ukraine's invasion by Russia, Rublev wrote "In these moments you realize that my match is not important. It's not about my match, how it affects me. What's happening is much more terrible.'
'You realize how important is to have peace in the world and to respect each other no matter what, to be united. It's about that we should be taken care of our earth and of each other. This is the most important thing.'
'Even if they throw rocks to me, I need to show I'm for the peace, I'm not here to be aggressive or something,' he added.
