Queen Elizabeth II is dead, Buckingham Palace has announced
British
Monarch Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96.
Buckingham
Palace in a statement said: "The Queen died peacefully at
Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral
this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
This sad news is coming after the British Monarch made history when she became
the first monarch to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in June this
year, marking the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne.
The
Queen is survived by four children: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince
Andrew, and Prince Edward, as well as eight grandchildren and twelve
great-grandchildren.
Her
Majesty met with Liz Truss the new British Prime Minister on Tuesday, September
6, and asked her to form a government following Boris Johnson`s resignation.
Liz Truss had to travel to the Aberdeenshire estate Balmoral
Castle in Scotland to meet the queen – the first time in history due to
the Queen`s “Mobility Issue”
Prince Charles will now become king following
the passing away of the Queen. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 assumed office of
public duties during the Second World War. She was appointed as one of her
father's effective deputies as a counselor of the state.

In 1947, she married Philip Mountbatten, they enjoyed their marriage together
until he died in 2021. They had four children which are Charles, Anne, Andrew,
and Edward.
The
premature death of her father George VI, lead to her becoming queen in 1952 and
she went on to become the longest-lived and longest-serving monarch of the
country.
In Ten Days, a state funeral will take place
at Westminister Abbey. The Nation will observe a two minutes silence before the
queen will be buried at Windsor Castle.
