One Killed As Police Repel Attack On Monarch's palace in Imo
On Monday, January 3, 2022, Men of the Imo state Police Command repelled an attack on the palace of Eze Imo; HRH Eze Dr. E. C. Okeke, at Ezioha Amaifeke in Orlu LGA of Owerri, lmo state. by men suspected to be members of IPOB and their security wing called ESN (Eastern Security Network).
According to a statement released by Michael Abattam, the hoodlums came in their numbers with assorted weapons, were subdued by the superior firepower of the command tactical teams. In the process, one of the hoodlums was neutralized while others fled into the bush with bullet injuries.

When the security agents searched the body
of the neutralized hoodlum, they found several charms that were seen tied
around his waist. Other items recovered from him include one ID card, one
locally made IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) five bottles containing fuel,
cash of 20,000 Naira, and one pump action gun with 4 live cartridges.
The CSP also added that the commands tactical
teams are presently combing the bush to arrest the fleeing members of the gang
and also recovering more arms and other dangerous weapons.
He said the commissioner of police for Imo
state CP Rabiu Hussaini has advised Imolites to report any person/persons seen
with bullet wounds to the nearest police station or call 08034773600 or
