NAF Confirms Death Of Two Pilots In Aircraft Crash In Kaduna, Launches Investigation
The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the death
of two pilots in a crash that involved its trainer aircraft in Kaduna Northwest
Nigeria.
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet,
the HAF director of public relations and information in a statement released on
Wednesday, April 20, 2022, identified the officers as Flight Lieutenant
Abubakar Muhammed Alkali and Flight Lieutenant Elijah Haruna Karatu.
These two officers were among the NAF officers who returned from Pakistan in APRIL 2021 following their six-months training in that country.

According to Gabkwet, the Super Mushshak
trainer aircraft crashed on Tuesday APRIL 19 2022 at NAF base Kaduna.
Air
Marshal Oladayo Amao the chief of Air Staff stated that the NAF will make sure
that a thorough investigation is carried out to ascertain the cause of the
crash.
Air Marshal Amao stated this when he visited Kaduna
earlier on Wednesday, April 20, to commiserate with the families, friends, and
colleagues of the two pilots.
