Minister Of Interior Reacts To Attacks On Correctional Facilities In The Country.
The Nigerian Minister of interior Mr. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola
has revealed the real reason why correctional facilities are been attacked in
the country. He said the correctional
facilities are been attacked in other to ridicule the government. He made this revelation shortly after a
correctional facility in Oyo was attacked by gunmen on Friday night 22 October
2021 and hundreds of inmates were freed.
He
also added that the premeditated, planned and coordinated attacks made the
country very unsafe. He said that after the government observed the attack in
Owweri, Benin, and Oyo, they concluded that the attacks are not random.
The minister of the interior also said that government
will not rest until the escapees are captured and returned to the correctional
facility, and those behind the attacks
are made to face the wrath of the law.
