MC OLUMO SACKED AS LAGOS CHAIR OF NURTW
The National Union of road transport
workers (NURTW) has sacked Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popular known as MC Oluomo
as the chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the body.
You will recall that in March this year, MC Oluomo received an indefinite
suspension as chairman of the Lagos state NURTW on issues bordering on insubordination,
misconduct, and inciting members of the union against the national body. After his suspension, MC Oluomo announced his
withdrawal from the body.

In a statement released on the 6th of April 2022, titled ‘Dissolution of Lagos State Administrative Council.’ And signed by NURTW National president Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, and General Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u. According to the National Administrative Council of the Union, the decision to sack MC Oluomo is based on the provision of the constitution of the Union.
“MC
Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last night. We have
replaced him. His earlier withdrawal from the union holds no ground.
That’s unacceptable to us,” a national officer said
The union made an announcement stating that Seyi Bankole was the
new head of the union in Lagos state.
