Female NYSC Members Should Report In Their Husbands’ States
There is a new direction for all married female
corps members to report for registration in the states where their husbands
reside irrespective of the states indicated on their call-up letters.
Emeka Mgbemena the spokesperson of the National youth
service corps in a statement released on Wednesday 22 March 2022 said that
Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, the Director-General of NYSC gave this directive
during a Nationwide virtual address to the 2022 Batch “A” stream two corps
members.

Mgbemena also said, “the information is already contained on their
call-up letters.” Married female NYSC members are hereby directed to report to
camp with their marriage certificates, evidence of change of name in a national
newspaper, and other valid marriage documents that were uploaded online during
registration for service.
He also noted that the policy was initiated to help
them enjoy a seamless service year. Ibragim however sounded a warning that any
corps member caught presenting fake documents either on marital or health
grounds in camp would be handed over to the law enforcement agents for
prosecution.
