Man Commits Suicide After He Was Robbed

  Friends and family of Bulous Asuma In Jos Plateau state are grieving because their 25-year brother committed suicide as thieves stole two tricycles belonging to two of his employers. 

 25-year-old Asuma of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North LGA hung himself in his room after a gun-wielding man disposed him of his second tricycle.

  According to family sources, the deceased had collected a tricycle from a woman on hire purchase earlier in the year on hire purchase. Unfortunately, the tricycle was stolen from him which led to him being locked up for a week by the lady he purchased the tricycle from. He continued paying for some weeks before he ran out of cash. He had to approach another person to get a tricycle so he can work and raise cash to pay back his former employer. But things became sour when he disposed of this new tricycle as he was returning from work on October 13, 2022. 

  When he returned home, he threatened to kill himself, but they were thinking he was not going to do it. Things took a different turn when he hung himself with a rope inside his room. 

  DSP Alabo Alfred who is the spokesperson of the Plateau state Police Command confirmed the incident but also said the Police are investing in the incident.
