Man arrested with firearm and weapons in Ogun State
A government security outfit in Ogun state So-Safe Corps has
arrested one Mr. Mathew for being in possession of a firearm as well as other dangerous
weapons.
The suspect Mathew is an Ex worker on a farm
in Ibadan Oyo State and that his salary couldn’t meet his needs so he relocated
to Ogun state and chose a different lifestyle.
In a statement released
by the spokesperson of the So safe Corps, it was revealed that the suspect Mathew
was sighted at a spot around the FRSC office in Alakpo which is along the
Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Upon sighting him, it was discovered that he had criminal
intent and he was immediately arrested. After his arrest, the operation team recovered
one locally-made gun, one big stick, one ATM card, three phones, one cutlass,
and one saw blade.
The spokesperson said, "Having carried
out the preliminary investigation on him, the suspect and the exhibit found
with him were handed over to the police at Alapako for further investigation
and likely prosecution.”
