Man Arrested For Allegedly Shooting His Younger Sister's Boyfriend In Ogun
A 30-Year old man simply identified as Michael
Ogundele has been arrested by men of the Ogun state Police Command for allegedly
shooting and injuring one Tobi Olabisi because Tobi was having a love affair
with his younger sister.
It was the report lodged by a community leader
at the Idiroko Divisional headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force that lead to
the arrest of the suspect. The community leader of Ohunbo town came to the
police station with the injured victim and reported that the suspect had warned
the injured victim to stay away from his sister. Upon seeing the victim he
fired at him but the victim narrowly escaped death.
Upon receiving the report, the DPO of the
Idiroko division CSP Ayo Akinsowon quickly mobilized
his detectives and went after the suspect where he was subsequently arrested.

On interrogation, the suspect claimed to have warned the victim to stop dating
his younger sister but refused. He said on the day of the incident, he
was informed that the victim was sleeping in his sister's room and he went to
the room with a Dane gun. On getting there, the victim jumped out of the window
to escape the likely consequence of his action but he was shot by the suspect.
The victim was quickly
rushed to General Hospital, Idiroko where "he is currently responding to
treatment"
While confirming the
incident, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi the spokesperson of the state police command,
said the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate
transfer of the suspect to the Homicide section of the state Criminal
Investigation Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
