Lionel Messi Argentina Qualifies For The Finals Of The FIFA World Cup In Qatar After Defeating Croatia 3-0
In what has been described as the best performance so far in the FIFA
world cup in Qatar, the Argentine side has reached the finals of this year's
world cup. Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez were at their best as they defeated Croatia
3-0.
The Argentine side started the semi-final
match slowly but later took control of the game, but later took the bull by the
horn when their starting Player Lionel Messi put the side ahead b scoring a penalty
in the 34th minute. The Argentine
side won the penalty after Dominik Livakovicv the Croatia
goalkeeper tripped Alvarez as he chased a long ball.
In their last two matches, Croatia came from
behind to beat Japan and Brazil on Penalties. They tried to hit back in the
second half but they could not get past the determined Argentina defense.

Two
beautiful goals from Julian Alvarez with Fantastic passes from Messi gave the
Argentine side a 3-0 victory.
With this victory, Messi
has now scored 96 goals for his country. 44 Friendlies
(51 games) 28 World Cup Qualifiers (60 games) 13 Copa América
(34 games) 11 FIFA World Cup (25 games).
The last time Argentina won the World Cup was in 1986, and they
last played a World Cup final in the 2014 edition, which they lost to eventual
champions, Germany.
Argentina
will face either France or Morocco in the final on Sunday, December 18.
