Illegal Refinery Destroyed By Police In Benin
The Special Task
Force On Petroleum And Illegal Bunkering Team of the Nigerian Police Force have
destroyed an illegal refinery in Benin. This illegal refinery is located at
Agbor road opposite PPMC Depot under the power line.
Items destroyed include: 33 mobile metal
surface tanks met on the site, a pumping machine, 40 feet container, five deep
gullies, recovered three empty DAF Trucks, and additional seven mobile plastic
tanks ladened with petroleum products.

team also arrested two suspects at the scene. Information gathered revealed
that the syndicate has been operating in the facility for a long despite being
in the heart of the city.
Olumuyiwa
Adejobi, the force's Public Relations Officer while commenting on the raid said
it got wind of the criminal act through a whistle-blower.
