Gallant Soldier Falls By The Hand Of A Cultist In Ogun Community
It was an atmosphere
of dismay and surprise as the news of the death of the soilder spread across
the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. In a bid to become well
informed as to what has transpired, some concerned citizens started asking
questions as to what led to the death of the soldier only to be told that
suspected cultist fearlessly killed a gallant soldier at Ibafo Market. They were shocked and wondered, a soldier
killed by an ordinary cultist? Could this ever happen?
Well, the public
relations officer of the Nigerian Police force Ogun State command Abimbola
Oyeyemi confirmed the incident saying that the shameful incident occurred at
about 7 pm on Tuesday, May 24.
What could have led
to a cultist killing a soldier? The state PRO went on to say that a fracas had
earlier occurred between two internet fraudsters and one invited a cultist
while the other invited a soldier.

Oyeyemi
said;
“There was a crisis between Yahoo
boys (Internet fraudsters). One of them went to bring cultists
and the other was said to have invited soldiers to defend him.
“A soldier was shot and rushed to a hospital.
No one reported the case to the police. The soldiers were said to have
initially come in their private car before a patrol team came and left
afterward. The police visited the area and everywhere is calm now.”
