Full Names Of Survivors Of Ikoyi Building Collapse Released
Three
days after the 21 story building under construction collapsed in Gerrad Raod
Ikoyi Lagos state, Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has named the survivors.
According to a report from Premium Times, the
Lagos state government admitted that it was “Mistakes from all angles” that led
to the unfortunate incident.
Here
is what he said –
“This
is an event that one can say that indeed mistakes were made from all angles and
this is an event that truly really shouldn’t be happening in a modern-day city
like Lagos state."
The Governor also stated that anyone found
culpable should be ready to face the wrath of the law.
According to the governor, the survivors
include –

1. Adeniran Mayowa, 37 (suffered a hip injury)
2. Odutan Timileyin, 26
3. Ahmed Keneku, 19
4.
Sunday Monday, 21 (suffered a leg fracture)
5.
Waliu Lateef, 32
6.
Shola Bade Nurudeen,
33
(has a pelvic injury)
At the time of writing this post, the identities
of some workers are still unknown. The whereabouts of some of the construction
workers and the project manager are still unknown. He said that some officials
have been sent to their residence but they could not find anyone. The governor
described the incident as a national disaster and he also sympathized with the
victims and their families.
