Four Youngmen Killed By Lightening In Ondo Community
Four vibrant youths
have been struck dead after lightning followed a rainfall in Ago Dada village
in Akure North Local government area of Ondo State.
The lightning struck
the four young men in their homes and they died on the spot before anyone could
help them.
This ugly incident
was reported to have caused tension in the agrarian community as residents trooped
in their numbers to the scene of the incident.
Reports gathered from
the community revealed that the four men were inside the house when the lightning
struck with accompanying thunder killing all of them.

Meanwhile, some
traditionalists who visited the scene of the incident went ahead to perform
some sacrificial rites to appease the gods before the bodies of the men could
be buried.
Mrs. Funmilayo
Odunlami, the spokesperson of the Ondo state police command confirmed the incident
and said that the death did not result in any protest in the village.
"Four youths were killed by thunder in the village, but
there was no protest leading to another death in the village. Maybe there was
an argument when the families of those affected wanted to pick up the remains
of the victims for burial. It was a painful thing, but who do they want to
protest to?" she stated.
