FEC approves Twenty Percent salary upgrade for police officers
Good news for police officers as the federal executive
council approves a 20% increase in
salaries for the personnel of the Nigerian Police Force.
Mohammad Dingyadi who is the minister of
police affairs, disclosed this good news to the statehouse correspondents after
the Federal Executive council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari
on Wednesday, December 15th.
The upward review is
a product of the issues raised during the #ENDSARS protest that was spread out
Nationwide in October 2020. Dingyadi also stated that the decision was taken to
boost the morale of police personnel across the country.
This salary
increase will take effect from January 2022.
