Famous Actor Tom Owen dies 'Peacefully' Aged 73
Sad news for fans of the movie “Last of the Summer Wine” as the
main character Tom Owen has died aged 73.
Tom Owen is best known for playing the role of
Tom Simmonite in the long-running BBC sitcom for 10 years from 2000.
He appeared in the popular show continuing a
family tradition started by his father, Bill Owen. Bill played the role of
CVompo Simmonite while on screen.

Here is the statement released by Tom`s family that
was released on Tuesday (November 8) "He passed away peacefully and is
survived by his two children, James and William, and ex-wife, Mary."

acting legend.
