Family Of 3 Killed By Fire In Abuja
The residents of Gwagwa town in the FCT are in
a sad mood as one of their neighbors a family residing at a slaughter site in Gwagwa
town have all lost their lives when a fire gutted their residence.
Reports from Daily Trust Newspapers indicate
that the ugly incident occurred on Thursday morning December 22. It is alleged
that the fire was caused by a power outage in the area.
Abubakar Abdullahi, a neighbor of the deceased
reported that the sad incident occurred at 4 am. He identified the family head
as Sulaiman Tela and that his wife and only son were burnt to death in the
incident.

Loving neighbors tried unsuccessfully to gain
access to the building because the house which is a bungalow was locked with a
padlock at the main entrance.
Malam Kasim Shuaib the chief Iman of Gwagwa
said that the remains of the family have been buried in the town`s cemetery according
to Islamic rites.
