Ebonyi government declares former Reps member wanted over his Facebook post
The government of Ebonyi state has declared one Linus Okorie
who is a former member house of representatives wanted. Linus Okorie represented Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency and he has been
declared wanted because he published an inciting article against the state on
the social media platform Facebook.
Orji Uchenna Orji the state's commissioner for
information and Cletus Afoke the commissioner
for Justice and Attorney general released a joint statement alleging that the
article led to the beheading of a member of the Ebubeagu security operative in
Ikwo LGA of the state.

You will recall that
last Sunday, some unknown gunmen shot dead and beheaded one Sunday Nwafor who
is said to be a member of Ebubeagu security outfit in Ebonyi state southeast Nigeria.
Ebubeagu security outfit was formed by the Ebonyi state government to compliment
the job of the police and other security agencies in other to check the rising
cases of crime in the state.
The gunmen numbering
about 5 were said to have stormed the man`s house at night while he was asleep and
shot him dead. Thereafter, they dragged his body out of the room, cut off his
head, and went away with it.
