DSS Confirms Operation in Abuja Estate But Said It Never Worked With American Forces
The
Department of State Services has confirmed that it carried out an operation in
an estate in Abuja the nation`s capital.
The
secret police however denied carrying out the operation in partnership
with American soldiers.
Peter
Afunanya, the SSS spokesperson, told PRNigeria;
“I can categorically tell you that
we did not carry out any joint operation with American Soldiers as being widely
reported in the media.
“Though we
carried out an operation in an Abuja Estate with sister agencies, no foreign
troops were involved.”
Mr. Afunanya
did not say anything about the exact number of suspects arrested as well as
their identity.
