Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates becoming the first player to score more than 800 goals
The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to Facebook
to celebrate becoming the first player to score 800 career goals. On Thursday night,
the Portuguese superstar scored twice to help Manchester United secure a 3-2
win over Arsenal.
The world-class striker reached this
milestone as he puts the host 2-1 in the second half by converting Marcus Rashford`s
cross.
Ronaldo added his
801 goals with a strike from the penalty spot to seal a 3-2 victory over Mikel
Artela`s men.
Taking to his Facebook
page, the former Real Madrid star wrote "Very happy to become the first
football player to score more than 800 official goals. What an unforgettable
run this is becoming… Thank you to all my supporters for always standing by my
side. 801 and still counting! Let’s keep stretching this number and breaking
every possible record! Let’s do it together, I’m counting on all of you!"
