Corporal Opeyemi Kadiri Dismissed By Police Force For Searching A Commuters Phone In Lagos
CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, released a statement calling on all
men and officers of the Nigerian Police Force to display professionalism in the
discharge of their duties to members of the public and follow the extant laws
of the state.
The police force also
appealed to members of the public to ensure proper conduct in all their
encounters with the police force so they can avoid any infractions that can
result in them being subject to prosecution.

The Nigeria Police Force has
dismissed Force No. 509745 Corporal Opeyemi Kadiri attached to Dolphin
Divisional Headquarters, Lagos Police Command for gross misconduct,
disobedience to lawful order, and assault on a member of the public captured in
a viral video on August 3, 2022.
Corporal
Opeyemi Kadiri, was enlisted into the force on the 6th of December
2016. He was caught searching the phone of a commuter thus disobeying the
directives of the IGP IGP Usman Alkali Baba. He also assaulted the commuter who
wanted to bring the order to his notice. His dismissal takes effect on the 12th
of August 2022.
