Buhari And Tinubu In Closed-Door Meetings In Aso Rock.
President Buhari on Sunday, October 31th
played host to the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC in Aso
Rock. The Nigerian President shared the picture of the meeting on his verified
Facebook page. Along with the photos, the president said it was a pleasure to
host the APC leader in Aso Rock.
Mr. Bola Tinubu also
thanked the president for checking on him in London where he had knee surgery.
According to Punch newspaper, Tinubu said :
“I came to thank President
Muhammadu Buhari for visiting me in London when I had knee surgery. He
demonstrated empathy. He is an exceptional leader."
It will also be recalled that President Buhari had on Thursday,
August 13, visited Bola Tinubu in London.
That visit as well as other political issues have created strong
speculation that Tinubu wants to succeed President Buhari in 2023. Amind this
speculation the APC leader has not declared his interest even although many supporters
and groups have asked him to contest for the presidency.
