Borno State Government Officials Abducted By ISWAP
At least 5 staff of the Borno State Ministry of Works have
been abducted by the Islamic State In West Africa Province A.K.A ISWAP.
According to
information obtained from daily trust, the victims were supervising the
construction of the Chibok, Damboa road were they were abducted. Their
abduction took place on on wedensday December1st 2021.
A top official who
conformed the incident also gave the good news that one of the abducted staff a
driver was able to escape unhurt.
“Yes, it is so sad
and we are worry about this latest developments. The abductions came as a
shocker to us. I can confirm to you that they were abducted this morning."
Borno state commissioner
for works Hon Architect Yerima Saleh who confirmed the incident said that the
abductors also went away with three trucks used in transporting sand to the
construction site.
