Argentina Beat France 4-2 on a Penalty Shoot Out To Win The 2022 World Cup In Qatar


  In the world cup final many termed as Lionel Messi VS Kylian Mbappe, the regular time ended with a 2-2 draw that dragged the game into extra time 3-3, and a penalty with the Argentina side becoming victorious.

  Argentina`s Superstar strike in the 108th minute was not enough to give the Argentine side a win as Kylian Mbappe scored a penalty in the 118th minute to level the game at 3-3 at the extra time in the Qatar 2022 world cup finals.

 Argentina`s captain Lionel Messi scored a disputed penalty in the 23rd minute putting the French side one goal behind. A strike from Angel Di Maria in the 36th minute gave the South American side a commanding position at halftime.

 20 minutes into the second half, France hit back as Kylian Mbappe converted an 80th-minute penalty, and just 90 seconds later Mbappe equalized with an acrobatic volley.

 The game went into extra time and Argentina scored again but Mbappe equalized again just before the end of the extra time thus pushing the game into penalties.

 Moving on to the penalties, Argentina came out tops with a 4-2 win after the French side missed two of the penalties.

  This is the last world cup game for Lionel Messi as his country sees him claiming the trophy that alluded him throughout his career. This is Argentina's first world cup trophy in 36 years. The last time they won the world cup was in the 1986 world cup in Mexico.
