Ahmed Musa leaves Super Eagles Camp after losing a family member.

Ahmed Musa the super Eagles captain, missed the team's last training season on Wednesday, December 5, after losing a family member.

Based on a report from Sahara reporters the Fatih Karagumruk of Turkey striker was granted permission to leave the camp to be with grieving family members. He will link up with his teammates in Cameroun ahead of Nigeria's first game of the competition against Egypt on January 11 2022.

In another development, striker Odion Ighalo may not be featured at the tournament because his Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab is not willing to release to represent his country.

According to a report from Sahara reporters, it was claimed that a clause in the contract he signed with the club indicated that he would no longer be active internationally for Nigeria. That is one of the reasons why they are preventing him from participating in the competition.

Ighalo joined Al-Shabab from Premier League side Manchester United in England after he ran out of his contract with the English side.

Ighalo was recalled to the super eagles in November after announcing his retirement earlier and being away from the team for over two years.
