AFCON 2023 QUALIFIERS – NIGERIAN SUPER EAGLES BEAT SIERELONE 2-1
Many have already
started talking. A new foreign coach but he has not had a win after two consecutive
games. Is he under a spell? Can he take the super-eagles to the good old days?
Well, all their questions were answered and all doubts cleared when the Super
Eagles of Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers match
in Abuja 9th Of June 2022.
The Match was played
in the prestigious MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja. Taking your mind just a few months
back, you`ll remember that the super eagles drew 1-1 with Ghana which Led to
the Three Time African Champions missing out on the world cup in Qatar.

The serrie Loanians
were up and doing when then Jonathan Morsay utilizing a flying header put the
Leone stars ahead of the super eagles. As you know, the Super Eagles have a
spirit of no retreat and no surrender. Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen put the
relentless Super Eagles ahead.
Although loosing his
first two matches, Jose Peseiro the new Super Eagles Coach had his first win
for the Super Eagles.
Their campaign won't
stop there as they will travel to Marrakech, Morocco for another qualifying clash
with the Falcons of Sao Tome and Principle in four days.
