AFCON 2021: Blocking Mo Salah not enough to stop Egypt – Finidi George Sounds warning To Super Eagles
Super Eagles Legend Finidi George has encouraged the Super
Eagles Players not to put all their eggs in one basket by focusing all their
attention on Mohamed Salah alone but also focusing on other players in the
Egyptian team. He gave this encouragement ahead of the 2021 African Cup of Nations
opener.
Don`t forget that Nigeria will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in the Group D opening game on January 11. Finidi who won the African cup of Nations in 1994 has come out to say that Mo Salah who is the premier league's top goalscorer this season would be a threat to the super-eagles but he also warned the super-eagles to take note of other players.

“I don’t think so. I think in football you
have eleven players, everybody has his role." Finidi told filagoal.
“Salah
is a key player for the team and even if you stop him there are other players
that can do magic, that can do their best as well to make sure that they win.
“If
you add Salah if he has a good day then he’s going to be a problem, if he’s not
having a good day you have a chance to win.
“I think Egypt has been there, they have won the Cup so many times so
definitely they have a good team to face Nigeria. I hope Nigeria will have a
good day.”
