AFCON 2021 final: Prize money for Senegal, Egypt, Cameroon revealed
According to Sportsgrail Senegal will be paid $5 million for
winning the 2021 edition of the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON). The payment
will be made by the confederation for African Football CAF.
Egypt will also be paid $2.7 million by CAF
since they were able to get the second place position. Cameroon will be paid 2.2 million dollars for winning
the bronze medal that is the Third place.
The final between Egypt and Senegal in the AFCON 2021 ended in a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes. Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 on Penalties in the AFCON final on Sunday night. The final was played in Yaounde`s Olembe stadium in Cameroon.

The Liverpool talisman Sadio Mane scored the winning
penalty for Senegal that ensured they won their first-ever African Cup of
Nations.
Mane was named the
Player of the Tournament after the conclusion of AFCON 2021. Edouard Mendy his
teammate won the award as the best goalkeeper as he conceded only two goals
while also stopping a penalty in the shootout against Egypt.
Vincent
Aboubakar, the Cameroon captain won the Golden Boot after scoring eight goals
in the tournament.
