About 91 Persons Die after Fuel Tanker Collide With Lorry in Serrie Leone Capital Free town.
The massive explosion was the result of the accident and fuel
spill that later caught fire. The fire burnt bystanders and vehicles as the
accident occurred in a busy junction. Several footage of the incident released
by local media outlets show badly burnt bodies in the streets around the tanker.

President Julius Maada Bio says he is deeply disturbed by the tragic fires as
well as the tragic loss of life.
In his tweet, the
president said he will do everything possible to support the family of the
deceased.
Freetown Mayor Yvonne
Aki-Sawyerr said he saw disturbing photos and heard rumors that more than 100
people lost their lives. The state-run mortuary also reported that they
received more than 90 bodies and they are treating over 100 of them in the
hospitals and health centers around the capital Freetown.
Information
gathered suggests that the explosion occurred at one busy junction in the Chatham
Supermarket in the densely populated Wellington suburb in the East of the city
around 22:00. GMT.
One of the markets was completely burned with fire while nearby shops and markets caught fire. Brima Bureh Sesay said he has never seen anything like this before.
