38-year-old UBTH doctor shot dead in Edo state
Suspected assassins have shot dead a 38-year-old doctor on Monday morning February 15, 2022.
The deceased identified as Otote Osaikhuomwan is a staff of the University of Benin Teaching Hospitals. He works at the Ophthalmological department.
The gunmen gained access to his house located at GRA Benin the Edo state capital. He was then murdered in front of his pregnant wife.

Bello Kontons the police public relations Edo state command confirmed the killing but said no suspect has been arrested.
Kongtons said;
“Yes, the doctor was shot dead. The police are working to unravel the circumstance behind the killing and arrest the perpetrators.”
