107 Stranded Nigerians Evacuated From Libya
The Lybia returnees arrived in Nigeria through
Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800 with registration number 5A-DMG. The plane landed
at about 3:55 PM at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammad International
Airport, Ikeja Lagos state Nigeria.

The evacuated Nigerians
were received by Mustapha Ahmed the Director General of NEMA who was proudly
represented by the chief and rehabilitation officer, Mr Aziz Afunku.
A male infant and a female infant alongside
five female children and three male children were part of the returnees.
According to the NEMA boss, in March 2023, a
total of 105 stranded Nigerians were repatriated with an additional 281 assisted
to return to the country.
In April 2023, a total of 259 Nigerians have
so far been assisted to return to the country.
This is done with the support of the
International Organization for Migration with support of international
partners. Distressed Nigerians stranded in Libya have been helped to return
home.
