The Police In Anambra State Has Successfully Repelled Attack from unknown gunmen in Ihiala
The Operatives of the Anambra state police command at about
9: 30 Am on Tuesday morning repelled the attack of unknown gunmen and also
recover several ammunitions and four vehicles.
The attack took placed
at the Odata Central School Besides St Martin`s Church Ihilia. According to a
statement released by the spokesperson of the command, DSP Ikenga
Tochukwu, investigations revealed that
the hoodlums started shooting sporadically as they arrived in Odata central
school But were successfully repelled by the police operatives and military
operatives on the ground.
He added that some
exhibits were recovered which included one AK 47 rifle, two magazines with 30
rounds of ammunition, one Rav 4 Jeep, Lexus 350 Jeep, a Toyota Corolla, and one
Mercedes Benz.
Meanwhile, calm and
normalcy have been restored and other operations are going on in the area to
check for possible fleeing members of the gangs.
